LA — Trump’s SAVE America Act would turn voting into a paperwork scavenger hunt
This isn’t voter integrity, it’s voter intimidation repackaged as bureaucracy. Requiring birth certificates or passports to register will gerrymander turnout by administrative burden.
Why it matters:
If Republicans scrap the filibuster and pass this, millions—especially students, seniors, low-income people and people of color—could be effectively shut out of the ballot box by needless ID rules. Democracy shouldn’t demand a treasure map to vote.
