Is there a camera technique to visualize currents like in a thermal view?
Schlieren for magnetics or something?

What we want: test points on all signals and 0 Ohm resistors in line with power to every device

What we forget: see above

High Speed Imaging Of Magnetic Fields

Some time before experimenting with MRI machines and building his own CT scanner, [Peter Jansen] wanted to visualize magnetic fields. One of his small side projects is building tricoders — po…

@marble is the AIM TTi I-prober 520 maybe something that could help? Not really like a camera but maybe enough with a oscilloscope.
@tenerya this looks really nice
I might make a makeshift version if I find the linear hall sensors in my stuff :D
@marble There is flux foil which is not that widely known fos unknown reasons.
@nblr I think the couple milliamps I’m hunting for won’t register on that :/

@marble Yes, you can use the Zeeman effect to derive the magnetic field from visual observations. This is how, for example, the magnetic fields in the sun's corona is mapped:

@datenwolf I don't plan on having my circuits generate this much of a magnetic field :o
