this was meant to be part of a 'sequel' to an older piece of mine, "Two Halves of An Imperfect Whole", in the form of a larger art project (music and drawings). I'm honestly unsure i will finish it now but still would like to share the one part of it I did finish, as well as various concepts.
the series was meant to tell the story of the Two Halves embracing each other, melting into one another, and reforming as the merged "Perfect Imperfect Whole". In other words, this is our collective fursona. in the first picture, they're quite excited about their newly realized form. Everything about this design is meant to be fluid and constantly changing, but a few general traits (rainbow outsides, gray insides, 2 sets of ears, chimera-like ) remain constant.
I worry the message will be taken wrong so, to clarify, this is about ACCEPTING multiplicity. This is about bringing your selves together. the way I see it, my parts and I; we are all parts of an elaborate machine. Every part of the machine needs to bear its weight and cooperate with the other parts of the machine, or the whole thing fails. often we have disagreements or communicate poorly, among other troubles, and have not handled it well in the past at all. This is about beginning the healing process of truly accepting yourselves for what you are, and learning to live & function (and function Well at that) without having to deny yourselves their existence or force yourself into consistency
