This whole thing was precipitated by seeing
https://mastodon.social/@glyph/116220202738664759 and reading Doctorow talk about how delusional online groups reinforce each other, and she had an entire crash-out about how she was a manipulator with zero personality, and how she has been pretending to be plural in order to fit in with our friend group. And how everything we'd been saying about
#plural experiences had been fake and playing pretend.
And friends actually had to step in and point out that her whole "I've never felt plural" rant she went on straight-up wasn't true. (Or rather: only applied to herself) Because we'd freaking put into our journal how we felt at the time and how real those experiences felt in the moment.
Plurality is looking at your own notes from two weeks ago and going "why the heck did I fall for this, how did I delude myself into actually believing this nonsense" I guess (and then doing the same thing two more weeks later, but about the person who didn't believe any of it all)
