The recumbent trike community, I figured would be much smaller than most others, but it is quite tiny, probably exacerbated by the demographic skewing toward boomer-gen who are less likely to have a first thought like "take me to the the rad recumbent trike diy/mods chat! On the internet!"
Current goal being rigging a headrest out of handle at extension clamps or a u-bend so two clamps can support on either side of the rear tire and not sacrifice any space between the wheel and the frame. Should be EZ
The gist is I acquired a used Cattrike 700 for almost nothing, but the owner took some parts off, incl the head/neck rest, where this specific frame design and wheel size puts restrictions on placement. Crank was converted to single-gear since it's super flat here everywhere, but all three gears remain, so easy to convert back #recumbenttrike
Also because the generally small demand probably makes just about any accessory a "boutique" item. This causes a T shaped aluminum pipe and chunk of pool noodle cost $239.99
