Sila was born in war and has seen nothing of life but displacement, tents, and cold.
She has never known a warm bed like your children, nor the sense of safety every child deserves
They return to impose starvation and deprivation on us,
as if our children are being punished for no reason
Our children are not to blameโ€ฆ what is happening is a painful disgrace
These are powerful nations waging war on children
Please donโ€™t forget us
Speak about us๐Ÿ˜”

@AsarSameer @raphaellakay every word of this, asar! what's been done (& is still being done) in gaza is an obscene injustice.
(hello, sila smile! hugs to you both. xx)
@kathimmel @raphaellakay
Hello my dear,๐Ÿ’”
Yes, indeedโ€ฆ and because of this (injustice), we are forced to endure
@AsarSameer @raphaellakay i think about that (& you & sila) every day, wishing that the rest of the world would come to its senses & isolate the perpetrators (US & iz) to the point that they have nowhere else to go, their power drained away.
it feels impossible now, but it's not. i think things are shifting - too slowly, but still...
@kathimmel @raphaellakay
Thank you from the heart ๐Ÿ’›
Having people like you gives us strength.
The days are very hard, but we hold on to hope.
We watch from afar and wish the oppressors and this injustice would end, even if slowly
@AsarSameer @raphaellakay thank you for teaching me patience & grace (amongst other things) in adversity - though they should not be expected of you under such abominable circumstances.
@kathimmel @raphaellakay
We hold on to patience, because our faith teaches us to be patient no matter how hard things get.
we only wish that there will always be someone who remembers us๐Ÿ’”
