Hello, Fedinauts!
My morning self-portrait for #monochromeMarch
Analog photography can be just as instant as digitalโ€”maybe even faster, since it doesnโ€™t need editing :)

@andre unless you're talking about instant photos like polaroid or instax, analog photography has always been edited, with analog tools, during the printing process, and sometimes even afterwards with painted touchups. Not editing your photos is a personal creative choice, not the default of the medium.
@catbrainz If you read my post carefully, you'll see that it's exclusively about instant photography. I'm familiar with everything else because I print my own photos in the darkroom. Just check out my account to see for yourself ๐Ÿซถ
@andre alright, my bad! It's a common misconception and it wasn't immediately clear to me from just this post that it was only about instant analog. Beautiful shots.
@catbrainz All good, no worries at all ๐Ÿ™‚ And thank you โ€” Iโ€™m really glad you enjoyed the shots!
@andre Greetings from beyond? Great effect! I love the vignetting and the way the light blurs the outlines. The shadow play and contrast of the silhouette against the bright background are impressive, and the Polaroid's rawness adds authenticity. Incredible how the sonar caught the figure in this light. Did you use a diffuser, or is it just the curtain and the SX-70 optics?
@tombzz Thanks so much, Tom!
Itโ€™s a shadow cast on the wall by the window behind me. So the light is coming through the glass and the curtains. There was no setup involved :) I just walked into the room, saw my shadow, and decided to take a photo. Thatโ€™s why it was really easy for Sonar to measure the distance to the wall.
