yo fedi space gazers. i kinda need some recommendations on a good telescope. i'm looking for a reflector telescope, preferably with a tripod and descend magnification to do planetary, cluster, close-by galaxy and nebula observations. maybe with an option to add a camera adapter to it. not to expensive nor too cheap, like good price quality ratio. it should also be somewhat portable, since i plan to take it with me to the mountain cottage

@puniko You travel to the cottage mostly by bus right?

Tripods especially those included with telescopes are notoriously wobbly, and good, stable ones are expensive and heavy.

For that reason I am a fan of the Dobsonian mount.

If you want something a bit portable I would recommend a 6 inch f/5 telescope, this comes down to 750mm. Under dark (and even not so dark) skies this is a super capable telescope.

I hear good things about the Bresser Messier 6" tabletop dob, it has a lot of things to like such as a 2" focuser and included solar filter. (I dont know how available it is in ch) https://www.bresser.de/p/bresser-messier-6-dobson-4716415

In the past it was possible to get 15% discount by signing up to the newsletter and saying it's your birthday soon. You get a code for your birthday...

I recommend getting a cheap IKEA KYRRE stool for it. The important feature is to have it be three legged so it does not wobble.
Actually, get two, and leave one at the cottage. Actually, get four, since it's also great to sit on... well you get my drift.

The tube comes off the base and is fairly easy to hold, or even put in a (large) backpack or so.

The base then fits on your lap ..

@puniko This telescope can accept a camera, but honestly taking pictures is a completely different game that needs very different requirements.
@[email protected] the camera thing is just a nice to have tbh. thanks, i'll take a look into it
