Saint Patrick by Grace O’Reilly

Saint Patrick was actually not an Irishman originally, although over time in his heart he was deeply Irish. He was born to Roman Citizens in the 4th Century and at birth he was named Maewyn Succat – not Patrick. As a young man, at16, he was kidnapped from Wales and brought to Ireland and used as a slave and a shepherd for many years.
