Here is a fun thing I got to work: CloudPilot doing a network HotSync via a proxy server to a modern sync client running on Linux (palm-sync, written in TypeScript, which makes writing new custom Conduits a ton easier!).

The urge to now port this to Go and write a little Evolution → Palm sync client ... and maybe some new palmOS apps for syncing e.g. Fediverse (like https://gitub.com/knickish/heffalump by @knickish) and Matrix chats to it!

My Handspring Visor now has a 56k modem Springboard on its way :)

It runs palmOS 3.1, not 3.5, so no "network" hotsync/TCP/IP, but I think I can just connect the modem directly via USB/serial and it should sync from the modem on the Palm directly to the modem on my modern Linux computer!
palm-sync is really cool btw: https://github.com/jichu4n/palm-sync
Hmmm ... I wonder if I can get it to sync through Mesh(tastic|core) ...
@pojntfx lol. no.
@joostruis Just wait :P With a little IRDA to meshcore.js adapter SBC on both ends ...
@pojntfx ok. Plausible if 1 hop away.
@pojntfx I have the fold out palm keyboard. If you haven't seen it, it's glorious.
