brrr has been submitted for review. Very pleased that I made it before going on a skiing trip tomorrow ⛷️🚀

*pokes*

Do something.

Review times seem pretty long right now. Is it all the vibe coded apps hogging the queue?
brrr got rejected because it didn't include a link to the privacy policy and Terms of Use on the subscription page. I've added that and resubmitted. Fingers crossed it'll be faster this time 🤞
I was convinced brrr would get through app review while I was on vacation, even after a rejection. But I’m heading home today. Seems like app review times are back to what they were years ago.
brrr was rejected Wednesday and resubmitted 30 minutes later. That build is still waiting for review four days later. App review is too darn slow right now.
In related news, this just happened.
One down, one to go. Now I just need Apple to review the Mac version.
I find it odd that iOS and Mac builds of the same app, submitted at the same time, aren’t reviewed by Apple consecutively. This is especially true for new apps. App Review works in mysterious ways.
@simonbs Different teams for each platform is my guess.
@cb_desu @simonbs definitely. And it also makes sense, for a number of reasons.
@simonbs initial Mac review times are pretty bad right now, but not 2-weeks-bad like they used to be. Subsequent updates are a little faster, I guess when an app is 'trusted'
@simonbs @stroughtonsmith did you know expedited requests are no longer a request, it just pushes you up the queue with no reason.
@simonbs It’s been pretty up and down lately; submitted an app update 2 weeks ago that took 6 days, and yesterday I submitted another one that was reviewed within 3 hours.
@thomas @simonbs my guess is we can thank the increasing number of people now vibecoding apps, making the number of apps submitted to ASC for Apple to review having grown significantly?
@simonbs submitted a major update to an app that I haven’t updated in 4 yrs & both iOS and Mac versions were approved in less than 12 hours My experience with initial rejections is the next review takes a while but I’ve also missed a step after thinking I replied. Make sure your reply went through and that your submission is complete
@simonbs we have found it helpful to ask an agent if there are any issues with the code that will cause it to be rejected by the App Store review team.
@simonbs w00t. Ready to subscribe. Yesterday I added a notification to our Microsoft Teams Production Notice channel. I'm hooked.
@simonbs I’ve been rejected for that when the links were there 🤦‍♂️ Seems like an almost automatic initial rejection for anything w IAP. Good luck on 2nd try
