Tl;dr: I’m looking for advice on what instance to join for a creative writing focused product/platform.

A friend of mine is working on a platform that helps people who write fiction stay motivated and in touch with a community of fellow writers. As I understand it it is more a tool to exercise your writing muscle and form habits, and not a place to share your fiction (ala ao3), anyway that’s not too relevant for this question but it sounds pretty cool.

They’re quite new to fedi but I think there would be a lot of people here who might like to give it a try. So I told them to join us here, at which point they asked the familiar “ok but _where_?” So… what’s a good instance for them to create an account for their project? I’m not really familiar with any creative writing instances myself and since it’s not a personal account but a product (more or less) which may be frowned upon in some places, I have no clue what instance might welcome them. Please let me know!
