@urbantruth.bsky.social Wow, news from the car-centered societies. It has been rediscovered that distance not the only thing that matters when walking.  As has been known by bipeds, quadrupeds and all other -peds since the evolution of land animals.
@urbantruth.bsky.social the sounds! Stroads here are noisy and you can't have a nice conversation while walking down it to the store. Plus it's more than 15 mins, which melts the ice cream. And too dangerous for the wife to bike. Even I am hesitant.
