LOL apparently the company has company with the (alleged) E.Coli cheese has declined to recall it from the market. I guess they feel like people getting sick (and maybe dying) of E.coli won't affect their brand value?

County of LA: "...The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has issued guidance to consumers, retailers, and foodservice providers regarding the outbreak. The FDA recommended that RAW FARM, LLC voluntarily remove their raw cheese products from the market, but the company has declined...."

This sounds like it's GREAT for your brand name! /s

County of LA: "Watch for symptoms of an E. coli infection, such as diarrhea (sometimes bloody), stomach cramps, or vomiting, if you or a family member consumed RAW FARM-brand cheddar cheese. Seek medical attention if symptoms develop. Children, older adults, pregnant people, and those with weakened immune systems are particularly at higher risk of severe illness if infected."

@ai6yr
Wouldn’t surprise me at all if #eColiCheese was trending on the other site.

@crispius

Give me E-coli cheese!
Freedom please!
Bacteria and germs
And a few worms
It feels really healthy, I admit
To have your pants full of bloody s**t

@ai6yr Because regular consumers of said cheese could not tell the difference in after-effects with or without the E.Coli.

@VE7WYC @ai6yr
tbf those are the same symptoms I get from eating uninfected dairy products 😂

Though my severe and permanent lactose intolerance itself started with e. coli as well.

@ai6yr we have to deploy a Luigi on the Raw Cheese CEO now?

@ai6yr

I first learned about "Raw Farm" / "Organic Pastures" via reporting by @sarahtaber : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=piB_DdO2D6I

I continue to wonder why the California state government has not shut them down yet.

Raw Milk and Farm Literacy

@michael_w_busch @ai6yr @sarahtaber

I drank raw milk for most of my youth, we got it directly from my uncle's milk tank. We didn't know any better.

Raw milk is not safe. That's why we began pasteurizing it to begin with. It lasts longer before souring and is safer for everyone involved. Yes, most people never have a problem. But some die.

I love the people who think drinking raw cow's milk is somehow more 'natural'. I don't think nature intended us to drink squeezing from herd animals.

@gedvondur @ai6yr

As @sarahtaber detailed in that piece, convincing people to pay a premium for milk laced with e. coli has been a long-running and quite deliberate con.

By operators who apparently do not care how many people they hurt.

@michael_w_busch @gedvondur @ai6yr @sarahtaber The arson angle has not been fully explored. The more you read about this place, the worse it gets.

@gedvondur

@michael_w_busch @ai6yr @sarahtaber
Exactly, how is drinking another species' breast milk natural?

@gedvondur @michael_w_busch @ai6yr @sarahtaber
Yeah, The logical inconsistency kills me.
We had some raw milk dairies get shut down after numerous outbreaks
@michael_w_busch @ai6yr @sarahtaber After reading the wiki entry, I’m thinking it’s a real “what have they got on whom” situation.
@michael_w_busch Ooof on this not being their first infected product.
@ai6yr I really wouldn’t mind if foolish adults want to expose themselves to dangerous bacteria but these idiots are giving it to their children….

@ai6yr

shut 'em down, that's the rules

@ai6yr Nominating RFK-J as the nation's taste tester.
@ai6yr E. coli is naturally occurring and resides in our intestines, how bad can it be? 😅 /s
@ai6yr Raw water sourced from Mexico...
