Squashing

CNBC’s headline is journalistic malpractice. The rest of their report is even worse.

Daring Fireball
@daringfireball John is on fire these days. Keep it up.
@daringfireball I appreciate your refusal to use the ridiculous official capitalization of “macOS”. But, I gotta be honest, “MacOS” looks off to me. Unless I’m mistaken, that was never the official style. From 7.6, “Mac OS” had tight spacing, but there was clearly a space after the “c”, before the “O”. Which they also kept through Mac OS X. There was even a space during the abominable “OS X” years. Anyway, I’m sure you have your reasons, but I think it looks better with the space. More grown-up.
@daringfireball @gruber that second section you quoted is a good example of why the Oxford comma is important.
@daringfireball granted, it really is the future when a hall of fame linebacker is talking semiconductor industry details with an Apple CEO
@daringfireball My theory is that Cook will hang on until after Trump leaves office, to leave a clean slate for Apple’s next CEO.
