Watching "Beans" a docudrama about the 1990 "Oka Crisis", near my (then) home of Montreal.

The municipality of Oka tried to extend housing and a golf course onto disputed Mohawk ancestral land - an ancient forest that was also a Mohawk burial ground.

@RiaResists @dcdeejay I feel great to have got off Microsoft onto Linux. I don't drive a car or fly. It's been great to have encouragement and advice from folks here on replacing billionaires and oil barons. One change at a time - it adds up!

@deborahh For the record my reply was only partially about Prime. I barely remember the Oka crisis and would have been fascinated to revisit it through a politically wiser and more media savvy lens. Actually very disappointed I wasn't going to be able to watch it. @RiaResists

@dcdeejay @RiaResists ah, I see. It's a pain, isn't it, the way productions are locked into specific services 😥. I feel similarly when I find out something is on Hulu.
