@terry_dactil @SydneyJim Was about to ask what’s an arvo? Then I decided I’m not lazy, and I went and looked it up. Now, why do Australians call the afternoon the arvo?

@renudist @SydneyJim wait until you see the list of lengthened names. If it’s short, it gets lengthened, long gets shortened. For example, names like John become Johnno, Jim becomes Jimbo.
Tall poppy syndrome in Australia, everything has to be uniform.

@terry_dactil @SydneyJim so is the key basically to add “o” to things, and if it doesn’t sound right, then shorten it and add “o?” Maybe “o” is a definite article suffix like “en” and “et” in Swedish?
