@hypoidbear Maybe there's a quality difference between the original run and the 1990s/2000s made-for-TV-movie franchise.
@hypoidbear Kinda like how the remakes of Hawaii Five-O and Magnum PI ruined me on the originals (though it was a travesty they shortened the intros, since the originals were bangers). MacGyver felt more like a sequel than a remake.
@BalooUriza And yet, every redo of Night Rider was vastly inferior to the original series.
@hypoidbear Oh 100%. Night Rider really only worked with David Hasselhoff and in the context of the technology of the 1980s. It comes off, at best, as retrofuturism and at worst, completely anachronistic the wrong direction in every remake.
