I'm considering recording a screencast... any tips? Software recommendations? Do you record voiceover afterwards?
@Floppy If macOS, ScreenFlow is a great piece of software. Yes, I always record audio later so I can make allll the mistakes.
@Floppy I find quicktime just works? I do audio to help manage pace (and sometimes even get it right so use it, depends on 'professionalism setting' ;) )
@Floppy Write a script and rehearse it! On the occasions I've needed to record a screencast I've narrated it live because otherwise I'm never happy with the timing.
@Floppy If youโ€™re doing a full screen recording, turn off your system clock. You can then pause the video if your narration is longer than your demonstration and no oneโ€™s the wiser.
