For the past 30 days, the percent of normal precipitation over large swaths of the central and southern Plains and Southwest has been 50% or less of normal in dark orange and red. Over parts of the West and Midwest, precipitation has been considerably above-normal in areas of blue and purple.

Temperatures have largely been much above normal across nearly the entire U.S. for the past 30 days. From Texas to western Pennsylvania, temperatures were 8 to 10 degrees above normal.
