@asymco I honestly wouldn’t say that reads as a “squash”. Saying “can’t imagine life without Apple” definitely doesn’t say he isn’t retiring as CEO. I honestly love the retirement rumor, it’s probably been the most fun one in a long time

@ramarope He was never retiring. The rumors were propagated by Gurman who has the incentives to do so.

@ramarope Gurman is paid a bonus if the stock moves (and makes sure to note it). He relies on people who violate their contracts and face jail time to get his stories. I cannot think of a greater moral hazard.
