@jake4480 Pretty sure I read about this abomination yesterday. Imagination goes along way, it's not necessary to milk every detail out of something. And as many have commented, it's weird and 'uncanny'...

@wendigo 😂🤣 I hate it. Modern AAA games are like playing movies. I personally hate that. I know lots of people are into it, good on them hahaha

@dlundh @wendigo oh man yeah. What WAS it about those graphics.. I personally kinda feel a lot of video game graphics peaked with coolness at least in the 90s. Playing a movie is no fun for me, I don't want cutscenes or reading. I wanna go and shoot or hack or whatever. Hahaha

@jake4480 @wendigo I got back into consoles with the PlayStation/N64/Saturn. And just look at these 90s games for Saturn. Then Dreamcast came out and the arcade ports were PERFECT. Such a great time for 3D!

@dlundh @wendigo oh wow yeah. It's funny, I played some PlayStation/N64 (not so much Saturn) and when I met my wife, we combined our collections, I now have a couple PS2s and N64s haha- and I found a Dreamcast in my neighbor's TRASH 🤯 like, PERFECT condition, in box - and I got a cord for it, and now just need to GDEMU it (mod it for emulation) - since the games are so damn pricey haha. I want all the shooters, etc.

@jake4480 @wendigo For Dreamcast, all you really need are CDr:s and the ISOs for the games. The copy protection is long gone. It was cracked when the console was current. One might look at internet archive for roms if one were so inclined. :) And definitely get Ikaruga. Such a banger!

@dlundh @jake4480 @wendigo if the GD drive still works. Had to replace it with the GDEmu and after that also had to replace the PSU.

@dlundh @jake4480 I missed out on all the consoles until I bought a PS3. Not sure why. I was crazy about the Atari and TI-99/4A when I was a kid. Like Jake, I was a big fan of the arcade games like Centipede and Tempest, and mentally, I guess I never made the connect with 3D graphics as such. Even now, it's hard for me to wrap my head around. These days, I mainly do sports games like MLB The Show (which is being delivered today ;>) ) and NHL.

@alex 😂🤣 I stole it from somewhere of course, I was looking for something like this and it was the first I found, I bet there's even better out there with even older games hahaha - I saw some one else do it with another game I wasn't as familiar with.
