InnerworldSecurity engineer ports Linux to PS5, runs GTA V
I would totally buy a ps5 if I could just use it as a steam machine.
The steamdeck is my most powerful system at the moment and i’m getting a stiff neck playing in handheld mode these days anyway.
So if im going to be plugged in, I might as well.
My other option is to get a gpu and use my home server that has an i7-8700.
That’s honestly, probably the way to go.
You can already buy motherboards with the PS5’s APU already installed onto it. Makes for a good budget gaming rig.
mrbigmouth502I watched a video about those the other day. You can’t just slap Windows or whatever on one; you have to use Linux with a specific patched kernel in order to use them. Even then, there are severe graphical issues with Unity games, and you’re not getting the full performance of a PS5 since these APUs are cut down to a degree.
