The Psalmist professed his #patience for YHWH while ascending to #Jerusalem.

The Psalmist cried out to YHWH from the depths.  He wanted God to hear his voice and his prayers. 

The Psalmist knew none could stand if YHWH marked iniquities; he revered YHWH because He forgave.  The Psalmist waited for YHWH and hoped in His word. 

His soul waited for the Lord more than night guards wait for the morning.

The Psalmist wanted Israel to hope in YHWH and His covenant loyalty and redemption.  He was confident YHWH would redeem Israel from its sins.
