This echoes why I don't do FB, but also why I won't use a service where 2 Factor Authentication must be done on WhatsApp

And finally… it’s a solution looking for a problem. 2FA apps already exist and don’t require a phone number or WhatsApp account or any other random things, they Just Work.

@TheSwiv @gareth I agree with dedicated apps being better anyway. I didn't really see using Whatsapp as having a Meta account (since you can just not link it to Facebook or Instagram) but it's debatable ig. Didn't think of the rest though. Thanks for the reply
