John SiracusaFive years ago today, after listening to some negative discussion on @atpfm, someone on Twitter angrily predicted that “in 5 years, Tesla will have a marketcap at least 5 times larger than Apple.” I made a calendar event for this prediction, because I am petty. But now the account that posted it has deleted all its tweets, ruining the fun.
Sibshops@siracusa @atpfm This is why information on mastodon is generally more reliable than twitter. Any nobody can post something on Twitter and it can go viral. On mastodon, an account has to have a history of good toots to gain followers. They can't just create an account to post something for shock value and delete the account afterword.
