A few minutes ago there was either a thundersnow bolt or something exploded nearby. Lightning maps don’t show anything in my area but I also don’t see any columns of smoke, so I’m going with thundersnow in the absence of any contradicting evidence.

EDIT: Apparently a meteor! Either sonic boom or likely atmospheric disintegration; still unclear.
