The journalists who spent time and energy learning Banksy’s identity, then published the details, suck.

They suck.

They could have spent that time and energy exposing corrupt billionaires and politicians.

They could have minded their business and let us continue to enjoy the fun of not knowing.

Those journalists are conscience free, romance free.

They suck.

#Banksy

@kentparkstreet1 Problem is that it has already been done, remember the Panama papers? Remember how the only one to suffer was the whistleblower who got killed with a car bomb? Precisely..

@Johns_priv @kentparkstreet1
Just re-read https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Panama_Papers and it's not true.

Journalists do seem to be able to walk and chew gum at the same time.

Panama Papers - Wikipedia

@tzafrir @kentparkstreet1 I never said they can't, I used the example to illustrate the dangers they face.

Although this is not new, how many press people has Israel killed during the genocide in Gaza?
I'm saying it's incredibly dangerous, for them and their loved ones, to do just that.

Meanwhile, Banksy is not dangerous, and he pissed off plenty of powerful people.
Remember that painting that destroyed itself after the auction?

I don't agree with the unmasking, I just see the logic.

@Johns_priv @kentparkstreet1
So journalism should only be about extremely dangerous things?

a reporter reported corruption in the city of Ashkelon and that led to a criminal investigation. All the money involved there was not even the cost of a nice Banksy painting. And noone was killed. So no journalist should really be looking into it, right?

@tzafrir @kentparkstreet1 When did I ever say that?? I just said that I see the logic on finding out who Banksy is, I never said that the press should do this or that.
