@Heliograph When the government, through its Reserve Bank, mandates a certain level of unemployment - for the sake of the economy - then I would have thought the government had a responsibility to offer those unemployed people a welfare benefit that was at least above the official poverty level with rent assistance that took into account the real cost of renting. And none of us who keeps their jobs should be complaining about that.
