We need to separate “tech” companies from videogames. This level of ghoulishness is insufferable. This is not progress in visual tech. This is defacing of an art form by people with ugly souls.

@ozamidas I mean, yeah, it literally is an AI generated image over the game. Just, in realtime, using two 5090s. It would be idiotic as is, but as they peddle it as the next version of DLSS, it’s just catastrophic.
@yurisizov yeah but i just don't remember that happening with the older versions like the first or second, either i am just an idiot or Nvidia is using some openAI thing to make this aggressive character changes
Librico (Any/All) ☎️ 3792@ozamidas @yurisizov Nvidia has an AI research team that can train chatgpt-like image generation. Theres like 20 companies doing that and openAI has no special sauce. Of course, DLSS5 makes all of this feel like AI slop BECAUSE IT IS and removes the artistic vision
