I've spent like 12 hours this week reorganizing my desk cables. I've made a lot of improvements, cleared room, and added some devices: a new 2 to 1 hdmi switch (expanding a 4 to 1 hdmi switch); a USB4 hub; and a USB-C optical drive.

I'm now able to have both my laptops plugged into everything via just one cable for each. I just toggle a couple of switches to alternate.

I have a few things left to do, but I can't wait to show it off. 🤓

The USB-C optical drive also has additional USB ports: two USB-A ports of which one is 2.0 and the other is 3.0, and one USB-C. And it has a micro-SD card slot. So I basically have now three USB hubs on my desk.

I anticipate using this optical drive for burning a lot of discs to install software on my retro PC. I also may get back into collecting CD albums.
