Do you remember the Sony “Mavica”? It was an early digital camera that recorded images *onto a 3.5-inch floppy disk!* 🤯 It was slow but the disks were ubiquitous and so storage was easy. But I now have a whole box of these disks that are sadly succumbing to bit rot.. I can’t read all the images off them when I tried a couple of years ago. 😞

So I am thrilled to read about work like this! Yea for digital preservation! 🎉
