We need to separate “tech” companies from videogames. This level of ghoulishness is insufferable. This is not progress in visual tech. This is defacing of an art form by people with ugly souls.
Brian DearInvestors who’ve poured trillions into anything related to so-called “AI” demand a return. Companies are under intense pressure to deliver that return. Many will fail. It means companies will resort to, stoop to, desperate, thoughtless attempts at lock-in in pursuit of profit. I think this latest nVidia news is a play for consumer and game industry lock-in, even though the public smells the enshittification right away.
