J. P. WhitesideBooks... The TCL Note A1 NXTPAPER screen is lovely for reading, but the reader app isn't the best and few indie 3rd party apps install (FB &KO reader do work). The browser is doing heavy lifting filling in gaps. I'm not sure how I feel about the Note and what angle my review is going to take yet.
Cheryl Lindo Jones@jpwhiteside I really like KOReader. I'm annoyed I didn't start using it sooner, but I wasn't ready to deal with building my ePub library (vague 😆). But I have now, and I'm glad to be free of the Kindle app.
Yeah, I did that vague thing so I can also use whatever reader I like. It's a niche problem that I'd like to sync progress across a bunch of weird devices and I'd also like the app to be a least a little pretty. I hadn't used KO or FB before but I'm using them now and neither is fugly, but neither is really beautiful, either. 🙂 I need to spend more time with each. I'm just sad that reader apps I already paid for can't be used on this thing.
