Wizards Of Baking - House Duels Part One: A decent opener to the series. The first challenge is a two parter, tasking the bakers with creating cakes based on a Hogwarts house. The concept of sorting them into different Hogwarts houses for baking duels is clever and #HarryPotter
works thematically, given the emphasis on wand duels in the Harry Potter series. However, it does make things a little uneven for the pairs competing. Gryffindor, Hufflepuff, and Slytherin have plenty of elements from the books and films for cakes to be based on, but #HarryPotter

Ravenclaw is much more limited in its scope.

So far, Jenny and Alex's Norbit cake sounds promising, if they can pull it off. I also like the sound of the Jujhar and Katie's Voldemort piece, but I do wonder if it is a tad ambitious trying to recreate the look of a #HarryPotter

wizard in cake form. The Mandrake cake by Angle and Rui could be another to watch out for in the second episode, too.

It's nice to see some Yorkshire representation in Wizards of Baking's second season. The pastry chef Stefan Rose certainly has the experience, as #HarryPotter

someone who works in a five star hotel. Hopefully he can win the competition and take it home for Yorkshire. #HarryPotter
