  • Spider-Man: Homecoming, Released July 7, 2017, Digital on September 26, 2017, 81 days
  • Spider-Man: Far From Home, Released July 2, 2019, Digital on September 17, 2019, 77 days.
  • Spider-Man: No Way Home, Released December 17, 2021, Digital on March 15, 2022, 88 days.

The same is true for any Marvel film.

What am I missing?

I think because there has been some studios or films that are pulled much more quickly for streaming platforms, so they are wanting to give it a minimum time to be in theaters rather than push it out.

At least that’s what I gather.

I looked up the last 3 MCU films, they all released to digital exactly 60 days after their theatrical release. So I guess the number has been decreasing.

The last two “Spider-Man but no Spider-Man” movies released by Sony were less than 60 days, but films like that I wouldn’t expect to succeed with an exclusivity.

It’s just weird to see “CONFIRMED: WE DO WHAT WE ALREADY DO”.
