so uh nameless fursona yes.

the flower's the most important part, i suppose. it has to do with a lot of complicated stuff, but the idea is that everything within said universe is descendent from plants. In that way, they exhibit plant-like features, and often have access to magic of a sort related to plants such as sprouting roots from one's foot. It also makes their digestive systems... nonexistant. The anatomy is there, but it's mostly there so that you can enjoy eating things. Species rely on being able to get energy from a star not far from the planet, or when it's dark, i want to replace the moon with the idea of a binary star where like one's really far and the planet's sorta orbiting around one so most the time when it's "night" there's the other star out in the distance and the plant species or whatever can absorb energy from that by sleeping outside. Richer people have access to like mini energy provider things that they have in their houses (or in extreme wealth, can just flat out wear) to get the energy they need from the sun to survive

"so how are you inserting an espeon bipedial logically" well uh i made up this world so i can do whatever i want but their entire gimmick is gaining power from the sun. Little miss no name here gets most of her sun energy from that flower on her head, which is also vunerable to pollination (more on that later once i figure it out). The gem there stores the "leftover" energy when her metabolism or whatever is full, so it can release very powerful bursts of raw energy in essence, sorta like a magical beam of you die orrrr if controlled it can sorta instead act like a feeding power of sorts since it is just raw sun energy

and then the idea is it'd be really easy to insert pretty much any fricking fantasy species I want. The only requirements are "it has some kind of plant on its body" and that's really it.

where do all these plant abominations come from? They come from the stars. Nah, i'm not actually joking. Some meteor hit the planet and these guys started growing out of it

speaking of. planet is fantasy core earth clone. you know the drill. generic beach area. generic main kingdom. generic area that's full of scorched terrain and evil people. Pretty much all of that I think.

It's worth noting that water is actually a lot more spread out. There's really only "lakes" at best and most of the planet is solid ground or marshland

been thinking about throwing some "generic world tree" stuff in too that goes something like oh yeah everyone's memories go into this tree when you die. Also you're not really dead because if someone were to pull your memories out they could grow you out of the ground

except I don't want to just do all the lovey dovey related to that. I wanna do the cursed eugenics level stuff too. Like "someone copies your memories a ton and now there's like 30 somewhat similar yous what are you supposed to do about that" and "let's break down ship of theseus for these revivals" and have like someone's rebirth turn them into an evil dictator or something just because

"what if the world gets too full" no it won't I have the power of world building and killing off characters behind the scenes it'll be fine

oh yeah the sun isn't everything energy wise. I was thinking of doing food but that sort of defeats the other thing so i'd imagine they sorta just pull nutrients out of the ground and stuff whenever they need to. sorta like that weird theory people came up with where toads didn't move often because they were forming a root system or whatever

ok so other nifty plant things, yknow how like plants can grow a crap ton of roots like when potatos are desperately looking for soil. yeah people can do that too here

only problem is uh it doesn't really retract, per se

so you have to cut them off if you're done with them, which unfortunately hurts a bit because nerves

people get used to it if they do it enough though, although there are theorized ways to flat out remove the nerves to make it as painless as possible. another eugenics thing though I guess

also normally the ocslop emerging from the meteor is a ton more cool or whatever. my fursona here lost and ended up generic as heck just because that's how the world decided to treat her. She's not really that special but she does at least have quite a lot of compassion for other people

oh yeah blood doesn't exist because they're plants so its like what's the point

they uh do sorta like

leak the moisture if you cut them though

oh yeah water did you know that you need water to survive and so do plants so they sorta have to suck it up from whatever root related options they have (drinking optional)

this does imply you can drink "blood" and justify it (like in a dry place) as a survival method ​​

the water circulation or whatever acts as a blood flow representation so like if you lose the water flow to your hand it kind of stops working

@kulupuSoweli glad u see something in it. it's also a very relevant idea to what ur story seems to be referencing with the world tree whatsoever.

have to warn you of thought hazards tho. many of their beliefs or practices are infectious but dangerous to approach relationships with others in the context of, unless youve either mastered or properly studied what they teach. take it slow!
