Looking back 6 years ago to that FIRC (Flight Instructor Renewal Course) I took on March 14-15, 2020. It was the last weekend that AOPA Air Safety Institute held in-person FIRC classes, now only online. It was surreal taking that class the weekend before the Monday COVID lockdown hit. While it was a few miles from home for me, others traveled from Washington State and Alaska to attend. #aviation #pilot #avgeek
