I don't follow links to Instagram, Lana, but as a rabid Firefly fan, I'm hoping there's actual substance to this story about a reboot of the series.

@Guillotine_Jones basically it's Nathan Fillion talking to camera saying
"We are bringing back Firefly as an animated series. We have:
- Joss's blessing
- The rights from 20th century fox/Disney
- a show runner
- a script
- the entire cast on board (including Wash, somehow??) minus Book RIP
- The only thing they need now is a "home" by which I believe they mean a distribution network.
Then he encourages everyone to like, share, and boost the signal so that the major distribution networks take notice.
The only bit I'm struggling with in the announcement is the bit where he said he has the rights from Disney, but then also somehow Disney isn't on board with hosting the show on presumably Disney+?? Not sure how that works. Maybe they're still hammering out how the rights would work with 21 Century Fox also in the mix.

I was curious about that too. I saw in a different article the new series is set in the original timeline between the original series and Serenity, so no issue including Wash
