@jordansorcery.bsky.social So I played a good bit of the previous #Dreadball iterations. The original, an “unlimited” version that centered on unofficial, and the proper 2nd edition.

I’m pretty cool on this version so far. I watched your video and another and it feels like it’s such a total rewrite it’s losing a lot from my point of view.

Can’t use my old teams.
No Campaign/league system.
Seems like a ‘one and done’ release with minimal support.

I’m interested in some bits, like switching to d8s (which from your description are basically 50/50 rolls with a bonus exploding mechanic on 8s?) and the modified chaining mechanics, but it feels like such a massively different game.
