i love the smell of property damage in the morning. i love the smell of property damage in the morning. i love the smell of property damage in the morning. tree fell down as we were waking up. took out power lines and yanked wires out of our wall. some damage to the house, we have no idea how much we're on the hook for at present.
We told the power company that tree was dangerous...
We do not know when our power will be restored. Active hazards are cleared, and we are still not clear on what we will be made to pay for. We are at a minimum losing all our refrigerated food, and will need to replace it.
The power company has not been forthcoming on whether they will repair the wiring to our house. A private electrician quoted us $3500 to do the necessary repairs. It is likely removing the remnants of the dead tree and filling in the dirt will be our responsibility.
The Internet company reimbursed us $100 and are performing a reinstall of our fiber for free. At least one thing to go right.
