I dreamt that the last chapter of Chainsaw Man only came out in physical print. It was a book, and it was a salmon-colored cloth bound art book with prose, illustrations and comics in a variety of styles. It detailed the collapse of civilization in surreal and upsetting detail while also preserving a record of what influenced Fujimoto and what art in general meant to him. There were hidden puzzles, and a mechanism in the book’s spine that kept you from flipping ahead while reading it
It was a final, definitive magnum opus that also strongly implied Fujimoto was never going to pick up a pen again. Absolutely heartbreaking and insane and beautiful. I was reading it with @itsnero and @samkeeper staring over my shoulder, all of us freaking out about it. But after a while I became conscious that I had my eyes shut while I was reading the book, and then I woke up. Absolutely bizarre dream

From what I've heard about Fujimoto, this is absolutely in keeping with his behavior. I still wouldn't read Chainsaw Man for it, but I would salute an artist committed to the bit.
