@grimalkina To clarify, does "statistical models" mean generative AI models like LLMs, or are you saying that people are criticizing the use of statistical models in a broader sense?

@matt it's ok, I more shared this as a personal observation as someone who cares a lot about quantitative methods and it's inevitable that there's so much anger in the atmosphere things will be going around like this. Just trying to sort out my own personal lines.

I can empathize with this declaration, I once heard such a bad take about statistical models on a podcast I follow I had to walk around a lake, twice.
