I'm in the market for a new phone (my current device is a pixel 5 and running well but physically falling apart) and looking for some advice.

Would love to not use #android and considering maybe #sailfish? Based in US with T-Mobile as carrier. What's the best new phone for me?

@portlandy not terribly helpful but… I’m a longtime iPhone user trying Graphene on an ebay pixel 9a. It’s been a journey. I see talk of “proper” Linux phones out there but they seem best suited to people who have a lot of patience for this stuff. Feels like a rough time but also worth exploring non Google/Apple phones. Good luck!

@portlandy If you can hold out, Moto might start selling GrapheneOS devices next year https://www.techrepublic.com/article/news-motorola-grapheneos-partnership-2027/

A bit of a wait, but kinda cool to see a more mainstream distribution for an Android "alternative".

@portlandy Team Pixel 5 ♥️

I've a Pixel 10 in my drawers. But it's hard to leave this compact and lightweight phone.
