@Recalcitrant more like "if I'm too friendly with neighbors and co-workers I'll have to spend WAY more time interacting with them or else they'll get offended. Ofc, that coworker will ALSO get offended if i don't get up and join in, because sitting there minding my business makes me stuck up or whatever idk they just need validation ig"

I think i partly internalized the "Seattle freeze" or something idk just weird to talk to strangers for no reason

@cykonot oh yeah haha that too! sometimes when I’m in the office I’m less productive than when I’m at home because I have to spend so much time talking to coworkers 🤣
