It’s so much fucking worse. You can tie most of the current state of political affairs to this asshole.
Newt Gingrich teamed up with Rush Limbaugh and turned C-Span into political theater. That behavior eventually turned politics nasty.
There was a time where Republicans and Democrats worked together despite their differences.
Pond scum serves an important and useful ecological niche, which can’t be said about Newt.
