Brave Little Hitachi WandWe finally got out to the swimming this Saturday. Had a fun day around town with my kid, walked around with a steak and onion pie, revived the old Switch exercise games to get the wiggles out even more. I wish I had that energy, little guy has no quit in him.

He knows what he’s doing alright. Also, it sounds like you’re really enjoying your time with him, which is sweet^[not that you wouldn’t, I just read somewhere that you get three 5-year intervals with your kids before they’re adults, and it’s extremely brief. So glad to see you “experience-maxxing” (I just coined the phrase) your time]

About “a month ago” my daughter was toddling around. “Last week” she was at college “Yesterday” she moved into her own place with her boyfriend.
I rarely see my daughter now that she has her own fulltime life.
If I can be future-you to anyone here, make the absolute most of your kids’ time. It really REALLY flies by.

I’ve felt this with other peoples kids even. My colleague had a precocious teenager, and by the time I’d gone done another job, and come back, that kid was working at microsoft.
In my other job, a fresh new colleague had a 5 year old kid. When I left that job, that kid was applying for university.
What the actual fuck.
