This is such an uplifting story in a very cheerless world - if you haven't listened to Jessie Buckley's acceptance speech, do it now. Her authenticity shines through.

Also an incredible achievement for Richard Baneham who becomes the second Irish person to win three Academy Awards (matching the great Daniel Day-Lewis). He is also one of only three Irish people to win multiple Oscars - the other being the late Michèle Burke who won two for Best Makeup and Hairstyling.

By the way, I'm not sure if people are generally aware that Jessie Buckley, as well as being a world class actor, is an incredible singer.

Here she is performing Sinéad O'Connor's Troy with the RTÉ Concert Orchestra https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8fbc9DV1Pws
