Though Trump's statement that he might hit Iran's Kharg Island again "just for fun" draws attention,
I think the way K. Welker of NBC discussed her phone interview w/ #Trump where he said that "he does not expect to send US troops onto the island to *secure the oil*" has a lot of meaning.
Trump has always talked about taking oil (e.g., Iraq), & controlling Kharg would be in US interest for several reasons. My guess is the US does/will use at least special forces there.

@hszakher True. He and his admin thought of building alliances/coalitions eventually, though it seems they should have thought of that *before* deciding to go to war 🙄
Also, I thought that could be their strategy yesterday, but honestly, I wonder how long prior to yesterday his admin really developed any strategy.
@dalfen about that, #trump is not clever enough to "strategies" anything really, except for smash & grab. he's not playing 4D chess, he barely do colouring books (not even colouring by numbers 😅)
the more I think about it, the more it feels to me that #trump is the real-life Frank #Costanza from #Seinfeld . he's irrational, loud, incoherent. Costanza's quote can sum up Trump rhetorics in one sentence "**I've got a lotta problems with you people. And now, you're gonna hear about it!**"

I don't think he is necessarily developing strategy at all. His mentality is absolutely smash 'n grab.
He depends on people around him (who also influence him).
They seem to have started with very little strategy besides bombing things and are developing *some* strategy as they go along.
