My dad recently got an Orbit Writer. He's been playing with it, connected to his iPhone in Human Interface Device (HID) mode, where he's trying to use the NVDA Remote Controller app. A lot of the function keys like Alt, Home, etc. just aren't working. We've contacted Orbit technical support, but haven't heard anything back. Does anyone have any thoughts about this, any way to fix it, etc? Please boost for reach. Thanks. @MewProjects
@jaybird110127 @MewProjects I bought one and was ignored when asking the same question. If you find a solution, let me know. I'm sorry not to be able to provide better information. The question was just ignored by orbit support and the seller who I bought from told me to contact orbit support.
@jaybird110127 @MewProjects Hi. I don't know about this, but I'm just thinking when you mentioned about writing numbers, can the iPhone be set to computer braille input for this purpose? Or does he need it to be in standard grade 2 so that he doesn't have to learn the punctuation symbols, etc.?
@jaybird110127 @MewProjects Does he have those mapped for braille on the NVDA side? The default NVDA braille mapping is exceedingly sparse.
@VE3RWJ @jaybird110127 I personally only use it for IOS. It's a great device with IOS.
